About C-One Reef

C-One Reef is an artificial reef off Miami, Florida, set in the Southeast Region of Florida's Atlantic state waters. The structure holds a mix of reef and pelagic species, with Gray Snapper and Yellowtail Snapper peaking from May through July and Mutton Snapper peaking from April through June. Bottom fishing with live pilchards, cut bait, or squid works the reef for Gray and Mutton Snapper, while chumming with frozen chum blocks and glass minnows draws Yellowtail Snapper up off the structure. King Mackerel take over from November through March, when slow trolling live goggle eyes, live blue runners, or live ballyhoo near the reef puts baits in their path. Common Snook peak from May through July and respond to live bait drifting with live pilchards, live shrimp, or live mullet, and Crevalle Jack also roam the reef.
