About Seawolf Park Fishing Pier
Seawolf Park Fishing Pier is a public pier in Galveston, Texas, that extends into the Galveston Bay System and gives anglers direct access to bay water without a boat. The calendar opens with Black Drum and Sheepshead, both peaking January through March, and then shifts to Spotted Seatrout from March through May. Red Drum build from August through October, and Southern Flounder overlap from September through November. Black Drum and Sheepshead respond to bottom fishing with fresh dead shrimp, blue crab, fiddler crabs, or barnacles worked tight to the pier's structure. Flounder and Spotted Seatrout come to soft plastic paddle tails on jigheads or to live shrimp suspended under popping cork rigs.
