Double Bluff Light marks a sand drop-off in DFO subarea 9 off Edmonds, Washington, where the bottom falls away through depths of 80 to 200 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon peaking June through August and Coho Salmon running strong from June into October, with both species targeted by trolling flashers with hootchies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring along the edge. Lingcod concentrate here from February through April and respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked over the drop, while Pacific Halibut move through from March into June and take drift-jigged leadhead jigs with plastic swimbaits or herring. Rockfish, English Sole, and Pacific Cod round out the bottom mix across the sand. The mid-exposure position keeps the spot fishable while the depth gradient stacks fish along the contour on moving tides.
