I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Indian Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle off Port Townsend, Washington, in DFO subarea 9, rising through mid-exposure water from the surface to about 55 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, alongside Lingcod peaking March through May and Chinook Salmon peaking June through August. Black Rockfish concentrate here from May through August, with Copper Rockfish following June through September, and the pinnacle also carries Canary Rockfish and Sablefish. Anglers work the rock with drift jigging using metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or herring for halibut, while jigging metal jigs and swimbaits over the same structure takes lingcod and rockfish. Chinook respond to mooching cut-plug or whole herring across the tide-swept water above the hump.
