I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Norwegian Point is a rocky drop-off in Edmonds, Washington, sitting in DFO subarea 9 with mid-level exposure and depths running from 260 to 660 feet. The structure draws Chinook Salmon peaking June through August and Coho Salmon holding from June into October, alongside Pacific Halibut that peak March through June across the deeper contours. Anglers target the salmon by trolling flashers with hootchies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring, while the deep rock also holds Lingcod through their February-to-April peak and Black Rockfish from April into September. Halibut come on drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits or metal jigs worked along the bottom of the slope. Jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits accounts for the lingcod and rockfish that relate closely to the rocky edge.
