Camano Head is a rocky drop-off in Marine Area 8-2 near Everett, Washington, where the bottom falls away through mid-exposure water from roughly 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from June through August and Coho Salmon from July through October, with trolling flashers, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring working the shallower edges of the structure. Pacific Halibut hold over the deeper rock from March through July, taken by drift fishing herring, squid, or octopus across the slope. Lingcod concentrate near the drop-off from February through April, responding to metal jigs and leadhead jigs with swimbaits worked close to the bottom. Black Rockfish stay active March through August along the same rock, where jigging metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics reaches fish tight to the structure.
