Hump 2.5 km SW of Sand Point is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off La Push, Washington, rising through water that runs 20 to 90 feet deep. The rocky structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April, alongside a mixed aggregate of rockfish and resident Pacific Cod, Sablefish, and Wolf Eel. Pacific Halibut move onto the surrounding bottom from April through August, while Chinook Salmon share that same spring-to-summer window and Coho follow from May into September. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, and drift whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid across the deeper edges for Halibut. Salmon holding over the structure respond to trolled herring, flashers, spoons, and hoochies, with mooching and jigging filling in when fish sit tight to the rock.
