Angeles Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising from the seafloor in Port Angeles waters, holding structure in the 90 to 150 foot range at mid exposure. The rock draws lingcod, which peak from January through April and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, with bait fishing on live greenling, herring, or squid as a backup. Copper, quillback, and China rockfish hold along the same rocky relief. Pacific halibut move through from March into August and are worked with drift fishing using herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid, or by jigging over the pinnacle. Chinook salmon run June through August and coho June through September, both taken by trolling flashers, hootchies, spoons, and herring along the structure, with mooching and metal jigs as alternatives.
