Carkeek Park Beach sits on Puget Sound shoreline in Seattle, Washington, within DFO subarea 10, offering shore access to a stretch of open beach. The beach draws Coho Salmon through its peak from June to October and Chinook Salmon from July to September as returning fish move along the nearshore. Anglers working this water rely on trolling as the dominant approach for both species, running flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring. Mooching cut-plug or whole herring supports the effort when fish hold closer to the beach, and metal jigs cover the same water on a vertical presentation. The mix of migrating Coho and Chinook keeps this stretch productive across the summer and into early fall.
