Golden Gardens Park Beach sits on the shoreline of Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington, within DFO subarea 10. This beach draws anglers targeting Coho Salmon, which peak from June through October, and Chinook Salmon, which run strongest from July through September. Trolling is the dominant approach for both species, working flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, and cut-plug or whole herring along the drop-offs beyond the beach. Mooching cut-plug and whole herring is a reliable supporting tactic, while jigging metal jigs covers the water column when fish hold deeper. Tidal movement along this stretch shifts baitfish and concentrates salmon within reach of shore-based and near-shore anglers.
