Allen Point Hump is a rocky pinnacle in DFO subarea 13 off Tacoma, Washington, rising through mid-exposure water with depths ranging from 30 to 150 feet. The structure holds lingcod, which peak from March through June, alongside Pacific halibut through the longer March-to-August window and a resident mix of quillback, copper, and canary rockfish. Chinook salmon move across the spot from June through September, with coho following from July into October, while cabezon hold to the rock through much of the year. Anglers work the pinnacle for lingcod with metal jigs, leadhead jigs and swimbaits, or soft plastics dropped tight to the structure, and drift jigging with leadhead jigs, herring, or squid covers the deeper edges for halibut. Salmon come to trolled spoons, flashers, hoochies, and cut-plug herring passed over and around the hump during the summer runs.
