I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE
Pier

Les Davis Pier extends into Commencement Bay along Tacoma's waterfront in Puget Sound's DFO subarea 11, giving shore anglers direct access to open saltwater without a boat. The pier draws four salmon species through the year: Pink Salmon peak from July through September, Coho Salmon from July through October, Chinook Salmon from June through September, and Chum Salmon later in the season from September through December. Anglers work the water with jigging, casting metal jigs and leadhead jigs from the deck, or with mooching using cut-plug and whole herring to reach fish holding off the structure. During peak Pink and Coho months, pink leadhead jigs and metal jigs produce steady action as schools move through the bay. Chum Salmon fishing carries into the fall and early winter, extending the pier's productive window well past the summer runs.
