Camper Creek sits within the inner-protected waters of eastern Barkley Sound near Bamfield, British Columbia, a sheltered bay over mixed bottom running roughly 10 to 60 feet deep. Chinook Salmon hold here through the summer with a peak from May to August, while Coho Salmon run from May to September and Rockfish stay active across the same May-to-September window. Trolling anchovy, herring, flashers, and hootchies works the salmon along the protected shoreline, and mooching cut-plug herring covers the mid-depths when fish sit deeper. Coho respond to trolling spoons and hootchies, with bucktailing an option near the surface. Over the mixed bottom and rocky structure, jigging metal and leadhead jigs or soft plastic swimbaits targets rockfish in the shallower 10-to-40-foot band.
