Kellett Rock is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Port Renfrew, British Columbia, where the bottom falls through depths of 20 to 150 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod and Chinook Salmon that both run strongest from May into late summer. Black Rockfish work the rock through much of the year, with peak activity from March into September. Anglers targeting halibut drift jig with heavy leadhead jigs, herring, or salmon bellies along the deeper edges, while lingcod and rockfish come to metal jigs and leadhead jigs worked over the rock. Chinook are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, or spoons across the drop-off, with mooching cut-plug herring a reliable alternative.
