STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Hump 2.5 km S of Montgomery Bank is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer, exposed waters off Comox, British Columbia, with depths running roughly 120 to 180 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, alongside Lingcod that fish well in January through March and again from May into September. Halibut work here comes down to drift jigging with leadhead jigs, swimbaits, and metal jigs across the pinnacle, backed by bottom bait fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, or octopus. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits over the rock, or to bait fishing with whole herring and live greenling. Chinook Salmon move through from June to August and Coho from May to September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies over the surrounding water.
