The Hump at 49.86326, -124.81004 is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Comox, British Columbia, rising from depths of 150 to 355 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, alongside Lingcod that run strong in January through March and again from May into September. Anglers work the pinnacle with drift jigging for halibut using leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs, and switch to bottom bait fishing with whole herring, octopus, or squid over the rock. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits close to the structure, while Chinook Salmon move through from June to August and take trolled anchovy, herring, or spoons. The rocky bottom also supports Rougheye, Silvergray, and Darkblotched Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish across the deeper range.
