Anderson Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off off Gold River, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The steep structure holds Chinook Salmon from May through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, both taken by trolling spoons, hootchies, and cut-plug herring along the edge. Lingcod work the rock in the February-to-April and August-to-September windows, responding to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs dropped tight to the structure. Pacific Halibut move through the deeper water from March into August, targeted with drift jigging using leadhead jigs and soft plastics or herring. Black Rockfish stack over the rock from spring into late summer, peaking in March and again from May through August, and take metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits.
