Muchalat Inlet Hump is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Gold River, British Columbia, rising through water that runs 80 to 440 feet deep. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again in August and September, alongside Pacific Halibut that concentrate from March through August. Chinook Salmon move through from May to September and Coho from June to October, while Rougheye, Canary, and Darkblotched Rockfish work the rock year-round. Anglers target Lingcod by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, and drop for Halibut with drift jigging using leadhead jigs with soft plastics, metal jigs, or herring across the deeper flanks. For salmon, trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies covers the upper water column over this exposed offshore mark.
