Northeast Victor Island Hump is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Gold River, British Columbia, rising through a broad depth range from roughly 5 to 1170 feet. The structure holds Black Rockfish and Lingcod, with rockfish peaking in March and May through August and Lingcod running strong February through April and again in late summer, while Pacific Halibut work the deeper flanks from March into August. Chinook Salmon move through the area May through September and Coho follow from June into October, layering pelagic action over the resident bottomfish. Anglers target the pinnacle's rock with jigging using metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits for rockfish and Lingcod, drop drift-jigged leadheads and herring for halibut along the deeper edges, and troll herring, anchovy, spoons, and hootchies through the upper water for salmon. The vertical relief and exposed position concentrate fish across distinct depth bands, rewarding precise presentation to the level where each species is holding.
