Northeast Muchalat Inlet Hump is a rock pinnacle near Gold River, British Columbia, rising through a wide depth range of 25 to 600 feet in a mid-exposure setting. Chinook Salmon peak from May through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, making trolling with anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies the primary approach across the upper water column. Lingcod hold on the rocky structure, with peaks in February through April and again in August and September, where jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs works the pinnacle's steep sides. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics, metal jigs, or herring along the deeper flanks. Pacific Cod, Canary Rockfish, and Sablefish round out the bottom species drawn to this vertical relief.
