Princess Royal Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off near Gold River, British Columbia, where the bottom falls from 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon hold here through the peak May to September window, with Coho Salmon following from June to October, while Pacific Halibut run March to August and Lingcod peak in February to April and again in August and September. Trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies covers the salmon along the structure, and mooching cut-plug herring works the same water when fish are shallower on the wall. Pacific Halibut come on drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics or metal jigs down over the rock, and Lingcod respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadheads worked close to the drop-off. The rock edge and deep contour also hold Pacific Cod, Sablefish, Canary Rockfish, Yellowmouth Rockfish, and Pacific Ocean Perch.
