Louisa Rock is a rock pinnacle in British Columbia's Gulf Islands, rising through a water column that runs from the surface down to about 85 feet with mid-range exposure. The structure holds lingcod, which peak from February through April, alongside Copper Rockfish that stay catchable year-round and Pacific Halibut that build from March through August. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to October, giving the spot a long salmon season layered over its resident bottom fish. Anglers work the pinnacle's rock with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs for lingcod and rockfish, while drift jigging with herring or leadhead jigs covers the deeper edges for halibut. For salmon, trolling anchovy, herring, or spoons over and around the structure targets Chinook and Coho as they pass.
