Victoria Rock is a rock pinnacle in British Columbia's Gulf Islands, rising through mid-exposure water with depths ranging from 15 to 155 feet. The structure holds a strong bottomfish population, with lingcod peaking February through April and black rockfish available from February into October, alongside copper rockfish that hold near the rock year-round. Jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits works the pinnacle for these species, while bait fishing with live greenling, whole herring, or squid targets lingcod near the bottom. Pacific halibut move through from March into August and take a drift-jigged metal jig or herring across the deeper contours. Chinook salmon arrive May through August and coho from June through October, both reached by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies over and around the structure.
