Doyle Island Hump is an outer-exposed rocky pinnacle off Port Hardy, British Columbia, rising through a depth range of 90 to 385 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod that peak May through August and resident Rougheye and Darkblotched Rockfish. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho follow from June into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies over the pinnacle. Halibut come to drift fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid across the deeper rock, while Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked tight to the structure. The exposed pinnacle concentrates fish along its rock edges, where jigging pays off on the higher relief and drifting covers the broader deep-water flanks.
