Tribune Rock is an outer-exposed pinnacle off Port Hardy, British Columbia, rising over rock bottom through depths of 5 to 90 feet. The structure holds Lingcod at their peak from May through August and Black Rockfish from May through September, both of which respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, or soft plastic swimbaits worked along the rock. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to September, with trolling spoons, herring, and hootchies covering the water above the pinnacle. Pacific Halibut hold across the deeper edges from March through August, where drift fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid reaches the bottom. Pacific Cod, Canary Rockfish, and Pacific Ocean Perch round out the mix over the same rocky terrain.
