Camp Point sits off Sayward, British Columbia, where an outer-exposed rock drop-off falls through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The steep structure draws Chinook Salmon from May through August and Coho Salmon from June into October, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies along the edge. Pacific Halibut hold on the deeper rock bottom from April through August, worked with drift jigging using leadhead jigs, metal jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits. Lingcod peak in late winter through early spring and again in August and September, responding to metal jigs and swimbaits fished tight to the rock. Canary Rockfish and Pacific Ocean Perch round out the catch across the same broken terrain.
