Tyee Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Sayward, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon are the primary draw here, peaking from May through August, followed by Coho Salmon that hold from June into October. Anglers work the Chinook with trolling using anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons, and switch to mooching whole or cut-plug herring when fish sit deeper along the structure. Pacific Halibut move onto the spot from April through August and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastic swimbaits over the rock. Lingcod add a cool-season option, concentrated from February through April with a late-summer return in August and September, taken by jigging metal jigs and swimbaits along the drop.
