Earl Ledge is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Sayward, British Columbia, rising through waters that run 260 to 660 feet deep. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their May–August peak and Coho Salmon from June into October, with both taken on trolled spoons, hootchies, and anchovy or herring worked over the ledge. Bottom-oriented species dominate the deeper rock, including Lingcod peaking February–April and again in late summer, Pacific Halibut from April through August, and Quillback Rockfish available year-round. Anglers reach the Lingcod and rockfish with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits dropped along the pinnacle, while Halibut respond to drift jigging with leadheads and swimbaits over the surrounding bottom. The exposed pinnacle also produces Canary Rockfish and Pacific Cod in the same rocky depth range.
