Seymour Island Hump

Seymour Island Hump is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Sayward, British Columbia, rising through a wide depth range of roughly 35 to 670 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their May–August peak and Coho Salmon from June into October, with both species most reliably worked by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies across the upper water column. Lingcod concentrate on the rock through February–April and again in late summer, responding to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs dropped tight to the pinnacle. Pacific Halibut hold along the deeper margins from April through August, where drift jigging with leadhead and metal jigs or soft plastic swimbaits reaches fish over the bottom. Darkblotched Rockfish and Northern Anchovy round out the forage and catch on this exposed offshore feature.
