Cox Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Tofino, British Columbia, where the bottom falls from roughly 260 to 660 feet. The structure draws Chinook Salmon peaking May through August and Coho Salmon running June through October, both worked by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and trolling spoons over the shelf. Deeper along the drop-off, Pacific Halibut hold from March through June and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics or bait fishing salmon heads and squid on the bottom. Lingcod and Black Rockfish stack over the rock from May into September, taking metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits worked close to structure. Copper Rockfish are present across a long window from February through October, holding tight to the rocky bottom and hitting jigs and cut bait.
