Ginnard Point is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Tofino, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon and Lingcod through their May to August peaks, Coho Salmon from June into October, and a steady rockfish presence with Copper Rockfish active February through October and Black Rockfish running May to September. Pacific Halibut work the deeper flats here, peaking March through June. Anglers target the salmon by trolling anchovy, herring, or spoons across the drop, while jigging metal jigs and leadhead jigs down along the rock produces Lingcod and rockfish. For Halibut, drift jigging leadhead jigs with soft plastics or metal jigs covers the deeper bottom where the slope levels out.
