Pinder Rock is a rocky pinnacle set in the outer exposed waters off Ucluelet, British Columbia, rising through a depth range of roughly 330 to 1310 feet. The structure holds resident bottomfish year-round, with Copper Rockfish and Quillback Rockfish available across all months and Lingcod peaking from March through May. Chinook Salmon move through from May into August, while Pacific Halibut work the surrounding depths from April through August. Anglers targeting rockfish and lingcod jig metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits over the rock, while halibut respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and salmon belly across the deeper flats nearby. Chinook here are worked with trolled anchovy, herring, and hootchies over the exposed pinnacle.
