Lippy Point is an exposed outer-coast drop-off off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, where a rocky bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon are the headline target from April through August, with Coho Salmon following from May into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and trolling spoons along the edge. The same rock structure holds Lingcod, best from February through April and again June through August, where jigging metal jigs, leadhead jigs with soft plastics, and swimbaits works the drop, while Pacific Halibut sit on the deeper flats from May to August and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits. Black Rockfish stack over the structure from May through September and take metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits, and the site also produces Canary Rockfish, Yellowmouth Rockfish, and Pacific Cod. The outer exposure and steep contour concentrate fish along the break, rewarding presentations kept close to the rock.
