STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Quinn Rock is an exposed offshore pinnacle off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, where rocky structure drops through depths of 260 to 660 feet on the outer coast. The pinnacle holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from June through August, alongside Rougheye Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Pacific Halibut that peak May through August. Chinook Salmon move through from April to August and Coho from May into September, giving the spot a long salmon window layered over its bottomfish. Anglers work the rock for Lingcod with metal or leadhead jigs and swimbaits, or drop whole herring and squid on bait rigs, while Halibut come on drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits over the deeper edges. Salmon are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hoochies, and spoons across the structure, with mooching cut-plug herring as a reliable alternative.
