STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Monday Rocks is an exposed offshore pinnacle rising from rocky bottom off Winter Harbour, British Columbia, with depths running 185 to 410 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from June through August, alongside Pacific Halibut that peak May through August across the deeper flats surrounding the pinnacle. Chinook Salmon move through from April to August and Coho from May to September, while Quillback Rockfish, Canary Rockfish, and Pacific Cod hold on and around the rock year-round. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with soft plastics, or swimbaits, dropping to whole herring or live greenling when the fish sit tight to structure. Halibut on the adjacent bottom respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits or bottom bait fishing with herring and octopus, and salmon are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, and spoons through the water column above the reef.
