Albion Head is a sand-bottomed drop-off off Fort Bragg, California, where the seafloor falls through depths of 15 to 50 feet in outer-exposed water. Chinook Salmon run strongest here from April through September, with Coho Salmon and a Rockfish aggregate sharing that same spring-to-fall window, while Pacific Halibut peaks March through August. Lingcod and Cabezon work the structure through their own seasons, with Lingcod concentrating in January and February and again from August through September, and Cabezon showing in March through May and again September into October. Anglers troll anchovies, herring, and spoons across the drop for Chinook, then jig metal or swimbaits along the same edge for Lingcod. Rockfish and Cabezon hold to the bottom near the break, where shrimp flies, squid strips, and metal jigs cover the sand and adjacent structure.
