Biggar Rock is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Fort Bragg, California, where the bottom falls away through depths of 40 to 180 feet. The structure draws Chinook Salmon from April through September, alongside a strong rockfish aggregate that peaks over the same spring-to-fall window. Lingcod hold to the rock through the winter months of January and February and return in force from August into September, while Pacific Halibut work the area from March through August and Cabezon feed over the reef in spring and again in early fall. Anglers troll anchovies, herring, and hoochies through the water column for Chinook, then drop metal jigs and swimbaits along the drop-off to reach Lingcod tucked into the rock. Bottom fishing with squid strips, shrimp flies, and crab covers both the rockfish schools and the Cabezon holding tight to structure across the 40-to-180-foot range.
