STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The North Pescadero Point Hump is an outer-exposed rocky pinnacle rising from 40 to 75 feet of water off Half Moon Bay. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their March-to-August peak, along with Lingcod that show best from February to March and again August through October, and aggregate Rockfish that concentrate May through September. Trolling anchovies, spoons, flashers, and hoochies works the water column for Chinook, while mooching whole anchovies or sardines covers the same fish closer to bait. The rock itself favors jigging metal jigs and leadhead swimbaits for Lingcod, with live sanddabs and whole squid pulling fish off the pinnacle. Rockfish take squid, anchovies, and shrimp flies fished near the bottom, and Cabezon respond to squid, shrimp, and cut bait during their spring and late-summer windows.
