Dillon Point is a rocky drop-off near San Francisco, falling from roughly 80 to 200 feet with mid-range exposure to wind and swell. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their April–September peak, alongside Lingcod that turn on in February–March, August–October, and December, plus Blue Rockfish and Black Rockfish over the same warmer stretch. California Halibut work the area from April through August, drawn to the transitions where rock gives way to open water. Anglers target the salmon by trolling whole anchovy, spoons, hoochies, and flashers along the drop, while jigging metal jigs and swimbaits along the rock produces Lingcod and Black Rockfish. Halibut respond to drift fishing with live anchovies and shiner perch across the deeper edges of the structure.
