About Fish Haven 13 (PR01) Reef
Fish Haven 13 (PR01) Reef is an artificial reef in Florida's Panhandle state waters off Destin, offering concentrated structure that holds both bottom species and roaming pelagics. King Mackerel move through from April to October, and Spanish Mackerel are present from March to October, while Cobia show in two windows, March to June and again in September and October. On the bottom, Gray Snapper peak from May to August, Gag Grouper take over from October to December, and Sheepshead fill the cold months from January to March. Slow trolling live cigar minnows or live blue runners around the reef's edges targets King Mackerel, and trolling small spoons or diving plugs covers Spanish Mackerel. Bottom fishing directly over the structure with live pinfish produces Gray Snapper and Gag Grouper, while fiddler crabs and sand fleas work for Sheepshead tight to the reef.
