About Fish Haven 2 Center Patch Reef
Fish Haven 2 Center Patch Reef is an artificial reef in the Gulf state waters off Destin, Florida, within the Panhandle Region. The structure draws Spanish Mackerel from March through October and King Mackerel from April through October, while Gag Grouper peak from October through December and Sheepshead hold over the reef from January through March. Gray Snapper fill the summer window from May through August, and Cobia move through from March to June and again in September and October. Bottom fishing with live pinfish or live cigar minnows targets Gag Grouper and Gray Snapper tight to the reef, and Sheepshead respond to fiddler crabs and sand fleas worked along the same structure. Above the reef, slow trolling live cigar minnows or live blue runners covers King Mackerel, and trolling small spoons and diving plugs works the Spanish Mackerel schools.
