About Navarre Gulf Side Snorkle Reef
Navarre Gulf Side Snorkle Reef is an artificial reef on the Gulf side of the Florida Panhandle near Destin, within the Panhandle Region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Gray Snapper hold on the structure from May through August, while Sheepshead peak from January through March and Spanish Mackerel run from March through October. Spotted Seatrout show in March–April and again in October–November, and Red Drum peak from September through November. The reef's hard structure suits bottom fishing, with live shrimp and live pinfish for Gray Snapper and fiddler crabs or sand fleas for Sheepshead working close to the reef. Around the reef's edges, trolling small spoons or casting metal jigs to breaking fish targets passing Spanish Mackerel.
