About CSA Modules Reef
CSA Modules Reef is an artificial reef in the Atlantic state waters off Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where placed modules create hard structure on an otherwise open bottom. Mutton Snapper peak from March through June and Yellowtail Snapper from April through July, while Gray Snapper peak in June and July and Common Snook hold around the structure from May through July. King Mackerel peak from January through March, and Crevalle Jack also prowl the reef. Yellowtail respond to chumming and drift fishing with glass minnows, cut ballyhoo, or squid strips. Mutton and Gray Snapper take live pilchards and cut bait fished on the bottom tight to the modules, and slow trolling live goggle eyes or blue runners along the reef edges targets winter kings.
