About Kwiecinski Reef
Kwiecinski Reef is an artificial reef off Jupiter, Florida, within the Southeast Region of Florida's Atlantic state waters. King mackerel move across the structure in two peaks, March through April and October through November, when slow trolling live goggle eyes, blue runners, threadfin herring, or pilchards is the dominant approach. Snapper action builds through late spring and summer, with mutton snapper peaking April through June, gray snapper May through July, and yellowtail snapper May through August. Bottom fishing with live pilchards, cut ballyhoo, squid, or cut bait targets muttons and grays tight to the reef, while yellowtail respond to chumming and flatlining with cut ballyhoo, silversides, or glass minnows. Common snook peak May through July and take live pilchards, mullet, pinfish, or shrimp on a drift, and crevalle jack round out the reef's mix of species.
