About Pink Curlew Flats
Pink Curlew Flats is a protected sand flat near Naples, Florida, holding 5 to 10 feet of water in the sheltered inner waters of Florida's southwest Gulf coast. Spotted Seatrout peak from February through April and Sheepshead from January through March, while Common Snook peak from April through July and Tarpon from March through August. Red Drum round out the calendar with a peak in September and October. Live bait fishing anchors the approach for Red Drum, Common Snook, and Tarpon, with live pilchards, live pinfish, and live shrimp worked over the sandy bottom, and Sheepshead respond to bottom fishing with fiddler crabs and sand fleas. Spotted Seatrout anglers work soft plastic paddle tails on jigheads and popping corks with soft plastics across the open sand.
