About Bartram Park Pier
Bartram Park Pier is a fishing pier in Pensacola, Florida, set within the Panhandle Region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Sheepshead lead the winter season with a peak from January through March, and anglers target them with bottom fishing using fiddler crabs, live shrimp, sand fleas, or oysters, or by jigging jig heads tipped with fiddler crabs or shrimp. Spotted seatrout peak from March through May and again in October and November, while Spanish mackerel run from April through October and respond to casting with metal jigs, gotcha plugs, small spoons, and bucktail jigs. Gray snapper peak from May through August and take live shrimp, cut bait, live pinfish, and squid fished on the bottom. Red drum close out the year with a September–October peak, drawing anglers who cast soft plastic jerkbaits, jigheads with paddletails, gold spoons, and topwater plugs, and the pier also holds common snook.
