About Bayview Park Pier
Bayview Park Pier is a public fishing pier in Pensacola, Florida, set within the Panhandle region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Spotted Seatrout lead the inshore lineup, peaking from March through May and again in October and November, when anglers work soft plastic jerkbaits, paddletail swimbaits on jigheads, or live shrimp under popping corks around the pier. Red Drum push in during their September to October peak and respond to gold spoons, jigheads with paddletails, and cut mullet fished on the bottom. Spanish Mackerel run from April through October and hit metal jigs and small spoons cast from the deck, while Gray Snapper hold tight to the pilings from May through August and take live shrimp and cut bait dropped straight down. Through the colder months, Sheepshead peak from January to March and pick at fiddler crabs, sand fleas, and live shrimp fished close to the pier structure, and Common Snook round out the species list.
