About Jetty
Jetty is a rock jetty in Florida Gulf State Waters near Pensacola, within the Panhandle Region. Sheepshead peak here from January through March and respond to bottom fishing with fiddler crabs, live shrimp, sand fleas, or oysters fished tight to the rocks. Spotted Seatrout run strongest from March to May and again in October and November, while Gray Snapper peak from May through August and take live shrimp, live pinfish, and cut bait on the bottom. Spanish Mackerel move through from April to October, and casting metal jigs, small spoons, or bucktail jigs from the jetty puts anglers in reach of feeding schools. Red Drum peak in September and October, when inshore casting with gold spoons, soft plastic jerkbaits, and paddletails on jigheads works the jetty edges, and Common Snook round out the species list.
