About Williams Pier
Williams Pier is a fishing pier in St. Petersburg, Florida, set within the Tampa Bay region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Sheepshead lead the calendar from January through March, Spanish Mackerel peak from March through May and again in September and October, and Common Snook peak from April through June. Gray Snapper peak from May through August, and Red Drum peak in August and September. Bottom fishing with live fiddler crabs, sand fleas, or live shrimp targets Sheepshead along the pier structure, while Gray Snapper respond to live shrimp and knocker rigs fished on the bottom. Casting small spoons and metal jigs works for passing Spanish Mackerel, and live bait fishing with live scaled sardines or live pinfish draws Common Snook.
