About Courtney Campbell Reef

Courtney Campbell Reef is an artificial reef in Tampa Bay near Tampa, Florida, located within the Florida Gulf State Waters of the Tampa Bay Region. The reef's structure draws Sheepshead from January through March, while Spanish Mackerel peak March through May and again September through October. Spotted Seatrout follow a similar spring and fall pattern, with peaks in March–April and October–November, and Common Snook peak April through June. Gray Snapper hold on the structure from May through August, and Red Drum take over from August through October. Bottom fishing with fiddler crabs or live shrimp works the reef for Sheepshead and Gray Snapper, while casting silver spoons or small jigs targets Spanish Mackerel feeding over the structure.
